Surface Design Study: Laser Cut Sample

 

Here's my final laser cut design! This was my first time using the laser cutter, and I had a lot of fun with it. We ended up having to darken/lighten parts of the design so the pattern would be more visible, unfortunately I don't have that version of the digital design because it was edited on the computer in the thing tank. Overall the laser cut went smoothly, we only needed to do it once, but there was a minor issue with cutting the circle shape out, we had to go over it about 4 times to get through the wood and couldn't figure out why.
